Rachmaninov is a story of adolescent love and the inevitable heartbreak that follows. Shug, an African American boy, lives with his eccentric grandmother. Lena, a Russian girl, immigrated to America with her overbearing father. He’s a gifted student. She’s a gifted pianist. Both are alone in their own worlds. A broken scooter, a piano and an agreement between the elders, sets the stage for a romance to bloom. But, at what cost?
